Aubrey Warfield

I am a dog trainer and dog lover trying to help as many dogs as I can. I am working towards my B.A.P.S.Y. at SMU and will continue working towards a graduate degree in animal behavior after completing it. I have acquired tons of hands on behavioral training experience through professional work as well as from my many foster and personal dogs.

Why I chose to be a dog trainer:

I started off in the dog industry by working at dog daycares, the last was where I got into working with rescues. I started fostering with Cody’s Friends Rescue and couldn’t stop. That’s how I ended up with my first foster fail, Roo. Eventually, I met Chase, a fear aggressive golden retriever mix who I fell in love with but didn’t have the knowledge or skills to help as much as he needed. When another trainer came to work with him at the rescue I knew what I wanted to do. Chase lives happily with his forever family now in Vermont.

When my dog Jesse was beginning to be seen as hopeless at the rescue due to her extreme fear, I started working as an intern trainer and quickly moved my way up. I’ve been training behavioral cases ever since.
